"Brave New Secrets" is a work-in-progress exhibition. It is the 3rd in a trilogy exhibition loosely based on "The Divine Comedy" and "Alice in Wonderland" started in 2011 publicly but privately held since a child. The series as a whole deals with the various stages of grief from physiological trauma in the allegory of Hell, Purgatory and Heaven.
The first show, "Beautiful Layered Lies" used dream metaphor descriptions to drive the narrative. It's sequel, "Ugly Simple Truths" used blunt and honest written word. For this exhibition "Through the Looking Glass" is heavily referenced thematically the artist mixing familiar song and sound to not only to drive narrative, but to also evoke emotional and personal reflections onto the viewer by controlling both audio and visual senses on a journey of battling one’s self.
For "Brave New Secrets" music and sound was mixed as a means to drive narrative and build worlds. The concept behind the mixes were made to be treated as "Streams of consciousness" to evoke emotion while viewing the exhibition. The viewers would had been asked to put on headphones and escape into the experience of the show both visually and audibly to discover the full scope of the exhibition.
